Internal Gutter Brackets Installation
The usual way to finish a run of guttering is to bring the gutter past the end of the tiles or slates and then fit an external stopend which clips directly onto the gutter and forms a watertight sealed end.
Internal gutter brackets installation. They are installed internally at a maximum of 1 2 metre intervals and are not visible on the external face of the gutter. Tip the hooked end of the bracket under the front flange and press the remaining end over the back fo the gutter. Stratco gutters can then be installed using the stratco gutter suspension clip which attaches the gutter to the fascia. With help lift the gutter in place and secure the corner first screwing the bracket into the roof s fascia.
Stratco fascia is lightweight easy to handle. Then the next piece slips into the seaming bracket and the process repeats until you reach the end of the area to be covered. Internal stopends are much less commonly used. Run a bead of silicon caulk between the gutter sections to prevent water leaking through the seams.
Specially designed fascia brackets attach to the rafters then the stratco steel fascia is simply clipped into place. Make sure the fall is set towards your downpipes with a stringline then install the clips into timber fascia using flat headed bugle screws. If using external brackets install the brackets on your fascia then mount the individual sections of gutter onto the mounting brackets. Once the gutter section is aligned with the chalk line drive the long screws attached to each bracket into the facia board of the house to hold it securely in place.
