Jayco Tpo Roof Problems
Well the fact is my 12 year old jayco roof is fine.
Jayco tpo roof problems. I want to get this stuff off. This has the tpo roof and is leaking near the top air conditioning unit and has gone through to the interior ceiling. The dealer stated during the years 2005 2007 jayco had used this roof callled tpo with a fleece backing that has caused these severe problems. They are the main benefit of pvc vs.
I am reading this is a common problem with the tpo roof. I have a 2006 jayco jay feather 19h. Epdm rubber this was the primary selling point of tpo. If the material was perfect manufacturers would not change the formulation every few years.
Problems with tpo that nobody wants to talk about. In my opinion the bubbles will lead to future roof problems and jaycos have had a lot of roof leak problems for the past several years. But i m not the first owner and i think someone coated the roof earlier. Please note there could be multiple recalls for a specific model rv.
Can you please lead me in the right direction on how to go about fixing this. But i don t know how. Recall information for jayco rvs campers trailers. Now the coating is spotting and peeling.
You my want to see if you can remove the a c cover from the interior ceiling for further inspection. Two claims have been denied by jayco to fix the roof. One problem with tpo roofing material is that it has a fleece backing and can wick the moisture in different directions so you may want to check the entire roofing surface. Is there a recall on this or anything.
Well tpo membranes have problems. I ve got solar panels and eternatape on the roof now and i m worried about messing that up. While this roofing system can be walked on and it is both flexible and lightweight the membrane itself can be easily punctured. Nor is jayco the only company with this recent air bubble problem i see reports of these bubbles on a couple of brands of new rigs.
Of all the tpo roofing problems there are this is the one that is probably the most problematic. Better yet my insurance company refuses to pay to have it repaired because they say it is a manufacture defect.
